Brief and heavily illustrated introduction to Dzongsar Monastery located in Dege County in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, also known as the Dkar-mdzes district of Kham (Khams) on the eastern part of the Tibetan plateau. It was founded in 746, destroyed in 1958, and rebuilt in 1983.
