About This Book

Last in ambitious three-volume biography of life and work of Nobel prizewinning poet Octavio Paz (1914-1998). In contrast to first two volumes, which dealt with historic, poltical, and geographic context of Paz's ideas, this volume deals with love, specifically Paz's relationships with Elena Garro and Bona Tibertelli, including his love letters and impact of these experiences on his work. First volume, Poeta con paisaje (2004), covered his early years and professional diplomatic career until mid 1940s; second, Habitación con retratos (2015) dealt with period from mid-1940s until time of his death.
