Gente dell'antica Ostia

This study looks at the daily life of the people of Ostia, reconstructed through epigraphic and archaeological evidence. It gives a portrait of the city as a society full of activity and vitality, inhabited largely by freedmen whose goal was social mobility. Translations of Latin inscriptions are included.
