When the Journey's Over

Doctor Helen Elliot has gone to South America to persuade her father, Doctor Steven Elliot, to return to England with her. Helen meets Keith Denholm and they strike up a friendship. In Valdavero she goes to see her old friends Maria and Carlos de Cordobes and their adopted son, Manuel, her childhood sweetheart. But Manuel has vanished in very odd circumstances. Helen becomes involved in the search for him, high in the Andes among the guerrillas who have staged a spectacular kidnapping involving Keith.
