Starnet

In order to foster and engender resource sharing within the NATO Community, the Information Management Committee (IMC) of the NATO Research Technology Agency (RTA) has developed a science, technology and research network (STARNET). The purpose of this network is to facilitate access to information elements existing worldwide, in terms of science, technology and overall research; it is a database of Web-based data sources, which will allow comprehensive and sophisticated searches. STARNET is designed as a virtual library to provide a "one stop" information resource for policy makers, program managers, scientists, engineers and researchers. It has been designed as a system that can be adapted to address specific information needs as they arise within the NATO community.
