Churchill's Desert Rats

The Desert Rats, the 7th Armoured Division, wore its famouse insignia of the jerboa, the long-tailed rodent, with pride. It was Winston Churchill's favourite division and was widely recognised as being among the most powerful in Europe during the second world war. This book tells the story of the division's final campaign, from Normandy to Berlin, in the words of the soldiers who fought with it: troopers and privates, sergeants, young troop leaders and company commanders, all have their individual tales to tell.
