On the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the death of Michelangelo, the director of the Uffizi Gallery Antonio Natali has a path iconologic tended to offer a new reading of two of the most famous works of the great artist, both connected to the Museum of Florence: the Holy Family known as Doni Tondo. Through essays written over a period of more than twenty years, the author proposes an approach that sees the two masterpieces as poems composed by the visual language and plastic, removing them from the fate of works-fetish in which they were delivered by a ' tourist sense of enjoyment of art increasingly popular, and even by some art critics.
