About This Book
The Food and Nutrition Service contracted with RAND to look at how some states are performing School Meals Initiative (SMI) reviews and how they might be able to transmit data with limited additional burden. In particular, the FNS asked seven states (California, Georgia, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Wisconsin) to work collaboratively with RAND to explore possible reporting systems. This report describes the results of the analysis of possible approaches for states to report the results of the nutritional reviews to FNS.
