This paper/project takes a look at the advantages parallel processing can provide a software application design and implementation. A brief review of parallel processing machines in current use and those of future trends is discussed as well as parallel processing constructs as provided by a few of the more popular languages. The example program, a digital circuit simulation, demonstrates the design advantages provided by using parallel processes.
