About This Book

This independent publication, edited by the architects Andrew Collyer and Jaime S aez and illustrated by the visual artist Juan C espedes, narrates a decade of public architecture in Chile, through works and projects, exposing original work and research methods in the fields of urban planning, architecture for health and public art. It is a technical text, but with overtones, of achievements and failures of a group of young professionals, operating in pursuit of the old and well-worn notion of the "common good." "Healthy Design" seeks to highlight the role of design as an agent of social change, with the desire to influence, from within the discipline, both the decision-making spheres on public policies and the general public.
