"Specific findings documented by this study include: female athletes were less likely to get pregnant, were more likely to be virgins, had their first intercourse later in adolescence, had sex less often, and had fewer partners. The study showed mixed results for male athletes, but overall that athletes are more likely to use contraceptives."
