Includes both separately published bibliographies and a wealth of careful analysis of bibliographies contained in periodicals, literary histories, society transactions, biographical dictionaries, provincial bibliographies and other composite works. All entries are given with exact reference, there are some critical and descriptive notes, and references to reviews are also included. The total number of bibliographies listed is well over six thousand, and they represent a close selection.
