Five essays that received first prize and honorary mentions at the Premio FUNGLODE de Periodismo Rafael Herrera in 2012. The essays examine Dominican emigration in Puerto Rico and Spain, and the Dominican government efforts to promote education in order to discourage illegal emigration.
