About This Book
In this black-and-white minicomic, Stephanie writes and draws about the 1997 Tokio Express shipwreck off the coast of Cornwall, England that sent a cargo container with 5 million LEGO pieces into the ocean. They write about the LEGO pieces that washed up onto Cornish beaches due to currents, and a Facebook page called LEGO Lost At Sea that allowed collectors to share their finds online. There is a short list of website references. The cover includes a large hand-drawn LEGO logo, as well as illustrations of blue nautical-themed LEGO pieces.
"'Lego Shipwreck' is a ... comic ... completed for the 'Summer: Quick and Dirty' anthology. It is about the Tokio Express shipwreck, that has caused Legos to wash up on one particular beach [Cornwall, England] for the last 17 years."--Author's website.
