The object of the book is to assist Jazz or Be-bop drummer to learn independance, meaning one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. In other words, maintaining a beat with one hand and the other independently plays a different beat or an off beat. Very hard to do, but this book will help you in learning how to do this.
