About This Book

Several previously undiscovered absorptions of CO2 were found with a high-pressure infrared cell. They are normally forbidden, but induced by collisions at high pressure. When these and the known absorptions were applied to a computer simulation of the Venus atmosphere, gaps in the greenhouse effect were closed, and Venus's high surface temperature was fully explained.
