About This Book

<div>Hardback book with green covers. Mild wearing along the edges and corners. The title "Architectural Economy" is written in gold cursive on the front cover, with "Vol. I" inside a gold box underneath. To the right of the title is a golden Ionic column with a color photo of a house in an oval on top. At the bottom of the front cover are the words, "Denton & Waterbury." Denton & Waterbury was a lumber mill in Whitesboro, NY that supplied wood for these kit houses.  The book was published by The Lumber Dealers' Service Bureau at 417 South Dearborn St., Chicago, IL. The Lumber Dealers' Service Bureau changed their name, replacing the word "Service" with "Architectural" in 1922. This Bureau was a "plan service" designing and distributing the blue print and plans. Inside the front and back covers are full page illustrations of houses in a neighborhood, with the words, "Build a Better Home" on the inside and outside covers. <br /></div><div>Size of book: 9" x 12"<br /></div>
