Transformation beyond skill

"This study describes the 10-year transformation of a technical trading company from diversificational, transformational and resource-based perspective. The multi-level description starts from the product, market and functional diversification, which demonstrates that the company became highly diversified measured by any of the above indicators. The second level reveals the distinct phases, triggering events and crises typical of previous transformation research, and concludes that the company was transformed, turned around and rejuvenated. The third level, which describes transformation as accumulation of resources, provides further evidence that the company was indeed transformed between 1981-90."--Abstract.
