The Haxel family don't like the Nodeans and it's become a one-sided feud that Wint and Raven Nodean can't win. At least, it was a stacked deck until Paul Courtney happened along. He is a gun salesman, one who knows more about guns than just about selling them. When he takes a hand, the balance of power evens out.
