The author interviewed 39 women aged from 40 to 81 who decided to reinvent their lives by moving alone to a small cobblestone fishing village in Mexico. The 16 women whose stories made it into the book openly talk about their courage, their trepidation, their fears and their joys as they build new lives for themselves south of the border. This book is filled with humor and honesty as they open their kimonos and share their experiences, emboldening readers to make significant changes in their own lives.
