Office of Revenue Sharing, fourth count file, 1970

A special tabulation of data from the 1970 Census and the Federal Office of Revenue Sharing, prepared by DUALabs, Inc., has been acquired by ICPSR. These data record selected population and housing characteristics for over 24,000 governmental units (cities, townships, counties, etc.) entitled to receive Federal funds as part of the Revenue Sharing program. Information from the Office of Revenue Sharing's files on the funds returned to these local governments was added to the census data. It is possible to supply these data in several formats on magnetic tape.
