Mikayla's Victory

When Mikayla is invited to train for the pentathlon, she must compete against a more experienced athlete, and finds it difficult to concentrate due to her Caribbean-born mother's severe illness, life with a white foster family, and the possibility that her little sister will be adopted by her foster parents.
