About This Book

Liber Albus ("White Book " in latim) is the fourth monograph devoted to the work of Sergio Camargo. This publication is the first relevant publication on the trajectory of the artist: and his production of reliefs of wood and white paint. This volume covers the period from 1962 to the early 1970 and comprises a more thorough and generous vision about this work of Sergio Camargo. The sculptor is considered one of the most prestigious Brazilian artists in the last century; one of the few, according to Rodrigo Naves, to build a work, "a consistent set of works that draws poetry". The book has text of the international curator and Director of the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Collection, Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro, and also has critical texts of critical Guy Brett and Paulo Venancio Filho, and a richly illustrated chronology.
