The first lecture will be upon Morse's Electro-magnetic Telegraph! With a variety of new and beautiful philosophical experiments, and will be given on Monday Evening, January, 17th. The Telegraph itself ... Recommendations ... The philosophical experiments of Dr. B. embrace the whole range and the latest discoveries in the science of Electro-magentism, magnetism and electricity, they have been selected with a view to please, astonish and instruct. The magic circle, by which a piece of iron can be made to sustain 600 times its own weight, and its power instantly destroyed. Dr. B. will also exhibit several electro magnetic engines and machines, made on entirely new plans, and set them in motion: one of which will be made to perform six thousand revolutions in one minute. Also an amusing expereiment with an electro magnetic machine, of a $5 gold piece! ...
