World fertilizer situation and outlook, 1978-85

The purpose of this report is to project the world and regional supply/demand situation for the major fertilizer nutrients for 1978-1985. The importance of fertilizer in the world food equation is well recognized. Large increases in food production during recent years are due to a large extent a result of the increased use of fertilizer as well as favorable weather in most of the primary agricultural regions of the world.
