About This Book

Another city 'is critical of the developer-driven and technocratically controlled urban development and instead proposes a freer development of the cities, where people have a far greater influence on the design of their physical surroundings. This is illustrated, among other things, in the descriptions of the crooked existences 'struggle to preserve their floating sanctuary on the water in Erdkehlgraven on Holmen, and in the residents' attempts to create a greener and more social urban space in Badensgade on Amager. But the book also contains visions of urban development in interaction with nature and of moving cities in response to climate change. In addition, the architect's ethical dilemmas and the need for a different approach to architectural education are discussed
