Ghazali and Prayer

Abu Hamid Ghazali (d.1111) ranks among the greatest of Muslim thinkers. This is the first extensive study of Imam Ghazali's theory of prayer (dhikr and du'a) and demonstrates its significance and application in the daily programme of divine offices. The author is Professor of Islamic Studies at Obirin University and Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo.
