Deedee had escaped the family farm, but in her haste to escape her mismatched fiance, she dived--wedding dress and all--through the first open window she saw. And that window belonged to Garth Gentry's pickup truck. Garth was a carefree cowboy with women falling all over him every time he said, "Marry me, darlin'"--which was every five minutes.
