An analysis of the Albanian graphematic system and proposals about Albanian orthography.
The author defends the theory of the phonological principle of orthography, instead of the phonetic one that prevails in Albanian linguistics since the Congres of Orthography (1972). He also denies the existence of a morphological principle of orthography in Albanian.
The author defends his view that bigrams should not be represented in the Albanian Alphabet.
He propses additionally some improvements in the Albanian orthography.
