This book is an account of the activities of the German submarines in the Caribbean sea during World War II. It portrays the fierce attacks of the Uboat on the unprotected merchant vessels sailing through the cCaribbean. And athe attitude of the allies that thought the germans would not venture this far. It talks about the demise of the Dominican merchant fleet of the time and narrates the story of the sinking of the SS San Rafael, vessel where the author served as a Second officer and the experiences after the attack by the U-boat U-125.
