> *Murder is Served* marks the welcome return of Pam and Jerry North, that so phisticated duo of sleuths who made their first appearance in *The New Yorker* in 1930. When playboy restaurateur Tony Mott is murdered, the obvious suspect is his lovely widow, left bereaved and sump tuously wealthy. But for Mr. and Mrs. North, the solution to a mystery never presents itself on a silver platter. Besides, the late Mr. Mott had any number of acquaintances who knew how to dish out a crime.
