Boston through the ages

About This Book
This is a very readable guide to the geology of the Boston area. Written for school children but in language an adult would not find simplistic, it contains both an explanation of the geologic processes that shaped the area and also numerous references to places where the evidence can be examined at first-hand. It contains many black and white photographs and diagrams. The last two chapters are of particular interest: how man has changed the geography of Boston (much more than in most cities in the U.S.), and how geology has affected the human history of Boston.
