About This Book

The book is the first record of the work of this young artist of great prominence in the contemporary arts scene. Her paintings overlap popular to classical, the still life to decorative element in a play of colors and striking images. The bilingual edition includes an essay by Tiago Mesquita, plus an interview with the artist by journalist Juliana Monachesi. Ana Elisa Egreja was born in São Paulo in 1983 In 2009, won the Energy Award in the Arts, the Tomie Ohtake Institute and the following year had her first solo show at Galeria Laura Marsiaj.
