This is a complete guide to collecting and dyeing wool with plants found in Oregon and Washington. Basic equipment and dyeing procedures are covered. While there are no color pictures the plants are common enough that they can be found in any plant identification book if necessary.

The author includes recipes for dyeing in the book. Quantities of plant material, water, which mordant to use with quantity of wool. Best of all the light fastness of the dye is recorded allowing the the home dyer to avoid disappointment.
