Raw Sugar

Nidhi, an Indian-American born in Calcutta, addresses themes of love, abuse, family, and addiction. Through photographs, dated entries, poems, prose, and dialogue, Nidhi shares her thoughts about people who are insensitive to her experience as a sexual assault survivor and people taking her words as fact. The cover has a square cutout, showing a pack of “Sugar in the Raw.” Some of the pages are in color.
