About This Book

Critical study of a text by ʼJu Mi-pham (1846-1912), a Tibetan Buddhist teacher from the eastern Tibetan region of Kham (Tib. Khams) and associated most closely with the Nyingma (Rnying-ma tradition), on the doctrine and practice for achieving rebirth in the pure land Sukhāvatī, with particular attention to the routes of "self-power" (Tib. rang stobs) and "other-power" (dngos poʼi nus pa). The study (originally published as the author's MA thesis) includes critical edition of the Tibetan original, a full translation, and analysis.
