Combining genealogy and history, the author allows us to discover the role played by women in the history of the Duchy. After 1204, when the Duchy is an integral part of the kingdom of France, Philip Augustus, King of France, engaged in the Anglo-French war that was finally achieved 600 years later, after the victory of Admiral Nelson Trafalgar in 1805. The book describes the Normandy, by its conformism, as a model state at the time which will take part in the development of the French state model that many countries envy today.
