Cinema e história

The book broadens the horizon for those interested in studying the web of relationships inherent in cinema. We have analyzes of films from different times and contexts (Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, United States, France, Mexico, Uruguay, examined in isolation and/or connected), genres (documentary, suspense, melodrama, chanchada, films amateurs), directors (Glauber Rocha, Lars von Trier, Jose Carlos Burle) and circulation spaces (popular videos, festivals and movie clubs). Articulating historical research and film analysis, the book reaffirms a working method for thinking about the relationship between cinema and history.
