This was the first textbook about cardiac electrophysiology by an English author. It served as an introductory text for trainee electrophysiologists for over a decade. Although it is now mainly of historical interest it is still a useful text for learning the basics. The foreword is by Professor Al Waldo of Cleveland, Ohio.
