Braced for murder

After a reviled shelter manager is discovered euthanized, Beanie and Cruiser hit the crime trail once again. And the Tahoe Animal Impoundment Liberation Society (TAILS) is among the prime suspects. When Beanie and Cruiser attend the Basset Waddle seeking an adopter for foster basset Calamity (who has other ideas), Cruiser mysteriously vanishes and Beanie stumbles into a trap intended to put an end to the investigation -- along with her and Cruiser.
