FAY WINTERS and SHILOH FENIX are mostly normal young adults, albeit a bit on the nerdy side of the track. With a love of role-playing games and all things fantastic, it seems only natural that their grip on reality is a bit more questionable than with others. When Shiloh buys a book titled “The Beginner’s Guide to Adventure”, it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary at all. But when the portal depicted in the book actually works, Fay and Shiloh are transported into a mysterious world called Neimh where they have new bodies, new identities, and new powers.

Upon utilizing the portal inside Shiloh’s new book, both he and Fay find themselves in a unfamiliar forest stark naked and with entirely new forms. Now looking like mythological creatures straight out of a foreign legend, the pair eventually find their way to a spot of trouble, forcing them to learn magic in order to save the children of Hillshire in this first installment of THE BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO ADVENTURE.
