In search of self and family

The author started planning a travel itinerary to visit the places his ancestors immigrated from but never did reach the destination. He took a detour instead and became enmeshed in learning about his family history. In the process, he learned more about himself, his country and, of course, his ancestors. While the book is a personal story, it{u2019}s one that will resonate with many. It serves as a reminder of what we owe to earlier generations and our responsibility to those who come after us. We can get so hung up on our individual lives we forget there is a past and a future. We are, of course, simply a small part of a much larger, ongoing story --
