About This Book

Living in a complex technological society, two things have become clear: technology creates as many problems as it solves and this same technology has no "off" button. If humanity is to develop its resources and actualize its potential, it must learn to grow in ways which integrate scientific and applied knowledge about the human condition with human values which can make that growth meaningful. The Carkhuff Institute of Human Technology is intended to serve as a center for the creation and development of human technology, and in this inaugural volume, the focus is on how to foster excellence in education.
