Wild reindeer

Various aspects of the ecology, biology, behavior, distribution, population and morphology of wild reindeer are discussed and scientific principles of their conservation and rational exploitation developed. The present status and utilization of pasture lands are examined. Principles of conservation of large migrating populations and individual herds of wild reindeer are demonstrated. The problem of restoring the range to its original level is also discussed.
