A history and a genealogy of the Standish family in England whose dynasty lasted nearly a thousand years and whose most famous son was an American. Central to this history of the Standish family is the 350 year old mystery of the ancestry of Myles Standish (1584-1656) who sailed with the Pilgrim Fathers on the "Mayflower" in 1620.
