Clatsop County Student Book of Essay and Art 1994

Paperback booklet held together with black plastic spiral binding. The front and back covers are dark tan card stock. The front cover has four illustrations from the children's writings inside. The back cover is blank. This booklet was collected to "commemorate the Clatsop County Sesquicentennial." A copy of this booklet was included in a time capsule buried at the Astoria Column to be opened on June 22, 1944. The writings are description of the lives of children in Clatsop County in 1994 and drawings to illustrate the same. They also had the option to write or draw about what they think life will be like in 2044. The list of participating schools is on page 3.  There are two small articles at the end of the booklet regarding schools in Clatsop County, and a brief history of Astoria. Size: 8.75" x 11"
