"This catalogue, intended to be part of an ongoing series at LACMA, contains detailed analysis and discussion of thirty-four works of Southeast Asian art from the museum's permanent collection, as well as four extended essays on related art historical themes. Dr. Robert L. Brown, curator of Southeast Asian art at LACMA, served as primary author. John W. Hirx, the museum's senior objects conservator, contributed technical studies.
