"The 2006 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) is the seventh in a series of demographic surveys conducted in the country and is the third survey conducted as part of the worldwide Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) program. The survey was conducted under the aegis of the Population Division of the Ministry of Health and Population and implemented by New ERA. Technical support for the survey was provided by Macro International Inc., and financial support was provided by the United States Agency for International Development through its mission in Nepal."--Page xv.
