Hey there, Barbie girl

The iconic riot grrrl zine that was shut down by Mattel after a few issues takes satirical aim at Barbie's sexlessness and anorexia in a cheeky manner with essays, poems, letters, clip art, and an advice column. Photographs feature Barbie wrapped in a condom. The zine skewers prominent women (Margaret Thatcher, Hillary Clinton, k.d. lang) envisioning them as Barbies and proposes Barbie spin-offs, including "orgasm Barbie" and "bashful Barbie."
