Nine Narrow Miles

What if Israel were forced to return to its 1949 armistice lines? This scenario, which the former Foreign Minister of Israel Abba Eban called "Auschwitz borders," is now the current policy of the Quartet (Britain, France, Germany, and Russia) and the U.S. State Department. In this film a careful description of the coastline border, which at its narrowest is nine miles wide, shows the extreme vulnerability of Israel to this proposal. With all the mountain passes in Arab control to the coastal plain, and with the placement of Hamas rockets within reach of all of Israel, the situation would be untenable for Israel's survival.
